When configuring the Parallels install, I know that you can up the RAM allocation to give better performance, but is there any way to expand beyond the std 8 GB HD limit on Parallels install? It isn't a modifiable value (at least on my parallels install).

Can the install go on the 8 GB floating partition and then documents go somewhere else? Like either some other internal or external drive? or is it really capped at 8 GB? (which doesn't seem very big, and is reminescent of an old P2 machine in terms of HD space).

any help/info appreciated.

What do you mean 8gb limit.
I have two virtual disks created one is 12gb and the other was 50gb (I created this one by mistake).

I've not run into any such limit unless you're talking about something else.

Do you mean 8 GB RAM limit (not HD limit)? What do you need to do that requires more than 8 GB of RAM in Parallels? As for the hard drive size, if that is what you are talking about, the default size for XP is 10 GB, I think, and you can adjust that by creating a custom VM.
