Hi,

I am using Boot Camp 1.2 and i have sucessfully installed Mac OS X and Win XP pro SP2 on my macbook. I want to now install an aditional XP on my External USB hard drive.

i was able to have 2 XPs (one on internal and one on external ) on my regular PC.
I did that using http://www.ngine.de/index.jsp?pageid=4176

How do i achive the same secnario on my macbook ?

OSX - internal.
XP - internal using boot camp
XP - on external Hard Drive.

is there a way to do this without removing my internal drive as i don't want to void my warranty?
if i do remove the internal drive and manage to install XP on external drive how do i choose between OSX/XP-Internal/XP-external in one boot selection menu?

please help.

If you have already jumped through the hoops described on the ngine site with your PC, you should be able to do so with your Mac as well. Frankly, I don't know what benefit you expect from using the external drive, aside from not using up as much space on your internal drive, but you should be able to do this.

Last time I heard, removing a MacBook drive was easy. Here are the instructions for removing and replacing a 13" MB hard drive from Apple. And I don't think it'll void your warranty.

The easiest way to be able to boot XP from your usb drive is to install rEFIt. It will allow you to have a graphical menu listing all the bootable partitions connected to your pc including the usb drive.

rEFIt: http://refit.sourceforge.net/

As far as installing xp just boot with your xp install cd and you should be able to see the usb hard drive when it comes the time to pick where you want to install. rEFIt will also allow you to boot easily from a usb flash drive as well.
