Boot Camp is quite particular about how it will deal with a Mac's drive(s). It wants to ONLY work on an internal drive that hasn't been partitioned beyond the original factory setup. RAID actually impacts a drive's partitioning rather radically; your RAID drive is not an "unpartitioned" drive as far as Boot Camp is concerned. If you have enough space to put in another internal drive, that would be the best workaround to get Boot Camp working.

The work around I did was to install an addtional hard drive, load OSX and use that with bootcamp. I still had issues with Vista (but not XP) in that the vista refused to install, I had to install XP and then install Vista. Just formatting, rebooting and loading vista wouldn't work. I tried a number of different combinations but the only thing that worked was fully loading xp. I attributed that to vista and apple's raid setup, once I broke the raid volumes up (corruption and loss of data was too great of a risk for me). Vista loaded fine.
