I just got my 2.4 and installed Vista Ultimate with BC 1.3. It seemed to take the update disc OK but no brightness control or Ethernet driver, Internet or sound control. It seems the BC 1.3 driver disk may not have done anything. I made a second and it seemed to take the updated again but nothing is indicating success. No trackpad scrolling or side clicks.

The eject does not work. The video control panel only lists a generic video card as being present. I noticed that there was a Boot Camp file and several files related to Boot Camp, like Apple SW update.

I think maybe Boot Camp 1.3 came before the 2.4 MacBook Pro with its newer video card and other hardware issues. That is the problem. An update with new drivers is needed. The question is whether this will happen soon or will we have to wait for Leopard.

No, BC 1.3's drivers should work fine. Whether they actually install correctly with Vista is another thing, particularly since you're using Vista 64... To my knowledge the drivers are all intended for the 32-bit version, so there may be some problems getting things to work. However, according to Microsoft, you should have both the 32 and 64-bit versions of Vista in the Ultimate box.

I installed the 32 bit version and all seems OK. Apparently the 64 bit version is not supported by Boot Camp.

Thank you all.
