Go to the Parallels forums and ask the experts. Have you tried VMWare Fusion (I prefer it over Parallels)?

Even though Parallels now supports 3D games, I haven't heard many good stories about it. So I wouldn't rely on it. Better to stay with Boot Camp.

Hey new folks, WELCOME! I need to point out that we have a whole forum dedicated to running (or emulating/virtualizing) OSs other than OS X on Mac hardware. I'll move this thread there-where it belongs and will get more exposure to people who have a lot of answers.

I got Guild Wars running using Parralles on my mini mac. It had some problems running with the spec of th machine until I used some of the GW start up switches to force the use of DX8 and set it not to use pixel shaders. The switches are:

-noshaders (no pixel shaders)
-dsound (which forces Guild Wars to use dxsound - works better for me)
-dx8 (which forces Guild Wars to use directx 8 rather directx 9 - again this gives me a significant performance boost!).

Other start up switches can be found at: Command line - Guild Wars Wiki (GWW)
