Not sure which forum this should be in!

Installed Bootcamp on Power Mac and then started to look at Windows installation which I thought would be simple - did not intending to complete installation it as I didn't have time. Tried to exit when asked if I wanted to and can't do so - seems to be in a loop and I can't eject the CD with Windows on either.

Have tried to restart with "Shift" and with "X" key pressed down but these don't work - no start up sound so may well be pressing them at the wrong time.

Maybe this will teach me to mess with things I don't fully understand and would appreciate some help if possibe!

Have you tried holding down the "Alt" (option) key on startup?

That should give you a listing of available boot drives.

All still working well now but seem to have totally lost one of the four hard disks installed on the computer [one I tried to install Windows on]. How may I recover it?

Try finding it with /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility

Does it show up there?

You can format it to Mac OS X Extended there if you like.

Naturally your excellent advice worked - I thought the solution would be something like that but had [goodness knows why] been unable to find the Disk Utility!

Thanks again...........
