Reference this old thread about compiling PearPC...

I actually got it to complie and launch (though it wouldn't accept any input) and the trick was using xterm with apple's x11 app. After banging my head into the wall for a while I realized that this is an x11 app so I should try to compile in x11, and it worked. Hope this helps.
Huh, I tried using X11's xterm and still wasn't successful. Same list of errors as using the Mac OS X Terminal. (I even cleared out the old pearpc-0.4 folder and replaced it with a fresh extraction, but still no-go.)

My goal also is to get Classic applications to run on my Intel Mac. I guess I'll try to get my hands on Mac OS 9.0.4 and use SheepShaver instead. Unfortunately, I have an old Mac OS 9.1 CD, which is too new for SheepShaver.

If only Apple had ported the Classic Environment...

Yeah, your best bet is to use Sheepshaver. As far as I know, no one has ever gotten OS 9 to run under PearPC, only OS X and OS 8 and below.

SheepShaver is buggy as hell, though. And, as Raptor007 pointed out, it doesn't work with 9.1 and up, either.

SheepShaver also hasn't been updated for over a year, so it's unlikely to improve any time soon.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
