I've seen all the tutorials on installing vista on a macbook but i have not been able to find information on general troubleshooting and maintenance of the windows os. does windows run like windows, for example, or is it more like a VMWare version of the OS? anything anyone can suggest?
thanks

Huh? BootCamp is just like running Windows on any other PC.
VMware is just like running Windows in any other emulator.

but even with vmware..if you uninstall the NIC drivers, for example, on a vmware installed OS, in hopes to repair a driver issue, you may not have done the same on the host OS. where i'm going with all this..is it feasible for a Windows-trained support technician to be called on to provide technical support for XP or Vista as installed on a MacBook? Are there any problems which might pop up that could hinder this type of duty?
also, the MS EULA.. is it true that only Vista Ultimate is supported / allowed to be installed on a MacBook?

Yes.

If you're going to run Vista on bare hardware (i.e. using BootCamp), you're fine with Home.
But the Home versions of Vista (just like OS X) prohibit you from installing the OS inside a virtual machine (VMware, Parallels, etc), so you'd need Business or Ultimate for that.
