Hello everyone, this is my first post and I was hoping to find some answers here, I am very stuck...
At home I have one of the first-gen Intel Imacs, and here at college I have a MacBook pro..
I installed XP using Boot camp on my imac at home with no problems and it runs great.
However, I have been wrestling with my Macbook here.. I get through all the steps like on my Imac, but when it begins to install, it gets stuck at 39 minutes remaining for hours until I have to hard-reboot it.. I have tried reformatting 10 times, re-installing from the ground up 5 times with different partition sizes.. is any one familiar with this problem and can help me? Thanks ALOT!

Have you cleaned the XP disc? Really-not only is the XP Installer notorious for not reporting problems (even to itself) with misread files, but the Intel Macs all seem to be particularly sensitive to dirty media. Give the disc a good cleaning and try it again.
