I would like to purchase a Card Reader for the ExpressCard Slot of my MBP. I use both Windows and OS X in equal amounts. If I am to buy a Card Reader, I might as well find one that works with Vista's ReadyBoost. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
ReadyBoost really only helps on machines low on RAM (512MB or less). Assuming your MBP has more than that (which I think is a good assumption), I'd just forget about using ReadyBoost. If your MBP only has 512MB, I'd strongly suggest upgrading; OS X performance will improve quite a bit.
Thanks for that advice. My MBP is one of the SR ones, so I have 2GB of RAM. Was just wondering if my vista bootcamp installation could benefit from readyboost, your probably right that it wouldn't be much of help.
ReadyBoost is actually disk activity cached to the flash memory to save a bunch of time. It works well with anywhere from a 1:1 to 2.5:1 ratio relative to ram.
