Hi,
I have a really strange problem. Everything worked fine for a few months (MBPro, osx 10.4 + winxp with all the latest updates). I haven't changed anything, but suddenly now, when I log into my WinXP partition (that has BootCamp 1.4 drivers installed) it will come to the log in screen and both mouse and keyboard are dead. They are NOT dead before that screen - I can press F8 and start Safe Boot, but it eventually comes to the same login screen and the mouse/keyboard are stuck again.
When I run that same BootCamp partition from inside Parallels however, everything works great - I can log in and use Windows.
How do I repair it? When I tried to run my BootCamp drivers install CD while running Windows from inside Parallels, it complains that "a fatal error has occured" and won't run the install.

Any ideas of what I could do?
Thanks a lot.

Try a repair install. Search this forum for detailed steps-it's basically a process that rewrites the core OS files and drivers, and that usually fixes all sorts of problems. The reason you're able to work with Parallels is that Parallels uses its own hardware drivers between the keyboard and mouse and the guest OS. It looks very much like those devices' native drivers are corrupt.
