We have a user with a fairly unique problem. In the last couple of days, her Apple bluetooth mouse and keyboard stopped working...she had to revert to her C2D MBP's built-in devices. I trashed her preferences file and logged out, then logged in as a local admin, and both the mouse and keyboard worked fine.

I logged out and had her log in as a domain user, and they continued to work. Then, when she opened up parallels and her VM, the bluetooth icon in the menu bar when from the dotted line, meaning devices are connected, to a solid zig zag, and clicking on the menu gave the message that Bluetooth is unavailable. It wouldn't even show up in the System Profiler. The funny thing is that the keyboard still works
but the mouse doesn't.
Any ideas?

Is there any odd behavior with a wired mouse? It's darn funny that the keyboard would still work, even though the BT indicator says nothing's connected. That IS a global indicator, right? I don't have a wireless keyboard or mouse, so I don't know how the indicator works with them... I just use BT to sync my phone.

Well I didn't try a wired mouse, but since her trackpad worked fine I'd assume other USB devices would work as well. I did trash her BT prefs file, so hopefully a restart will cure some of this.

In Parallels, from the Devices menu, go to USB and uncheck "Apple - Wireless" to release the BT hardware back to OS X. Not sure why the keyboard would still work and not the mouse.

Apple - Wireless was not mentioned in the Devices menu at all. It's as if Bluetooth disappeared from the computer, but the keyboard still worked.
