I'm going to install Windows on a partition of my Mac Pro, so I can play Windows games at native speeds. I have XP for free through a campus licensing agreement at my school, but as I understand it, Vista is required for DirectX 10. Is this correct? Is the improvement in graphical ability worth the price of Vista? Is there any way to get DirectX 10 in XP? Thanks for any enlightenment.

There's an unofficial hacky version of DX10 for XP on unofficial hacky sites.

What PaperNotes said, but it's a buggy so you might run into problems now and then.
