I recently installed leopard and erased my hard drive at the same time and now i need to go back to tiger so i can get ilife back, i mainly need iphoto and don't want to buy the new ilife just for that. But when i put my tiger discs in and restart, it justs boots into leopard and i can't make it boot off the Disk.

You can just install your old iPhoto in Leopard. There should be an additional applications installer on your Tiger restore dvd.

You can tell it to boot off a DVD by holding down C while the computer is starting up.

Also, just for your clarification, iLife is not a part of Leopard or Tiger. It is a separate software suite that can run on either, and is purchased separately. It is included on your software restore CDs because a copy of iLife came with your Mac.

Really? Odd. Lemme break out my restore cd's and give it a go. You should be able to install the old software.

If the installer won't let you install iPhoto, you can use Pacifist to try and force it.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
