I just installed Windows Vista on my Macbook by way of Leopard's Boot Camp. Now, whenever I start up my computer, it makes the Apple load sound, the screen goes white, and then it loads up Windows.

Do I not get to choose which OS to load? How do I change the boot order?

Control Panels > Boot Camp. Choose Mac OS X, reboot.

Or from the mac side, System Preferences, Startup Disk, restart.

Either way, you should also be able to hold down option on startup and then choose.

yes, but he should select the OS he wants to boot by default, then reboot using the control panel (in either OS). This will set it as the default.

I think there should be a 'random bootup' option, myself.

Anyway, I just felt informing him of all available options couldn't hurt.

Selecting an OS via the Startup Disk preference pane/Control Panel app in either OS X or Windows should set the default boot OS. I don't think you have to actually reboot to make it stick-at least not in OS X.

Yeah, I figured as much, but there was a guy here recently whose selection wouldn't stick until he chose it and rebooted.
