I have seen many videos such as this one:
Smooth multitasking between Mac OS, Linux, and Windows XP BlackMacBook.com Videos
and this one:
YouTube - Fast OS Switching on MacBook

where they can run Mac, Windows, and Linux, all by running Parallels, and just tapping the side of the screen. I just ordered my black macbook the other day. I want to know how to do that when I get it. Can someone give me specific instructions? Do have to have windows installation discs handy? I don't really know what I'm doing. Thanks for the help.

Edit: Oops! This in the wrong section. Sorry guys.

Its not parallels that does it, but a product called smackbook. Not that I'd want to start hitting my computer around. Its more of a gee wizz type of thing and I don't know too many people that actually use it

More info on what?

I told you that its not parallels but a product called smackbook. I don't run it, (no way I'm going to hit my very expensive laptop) so all I can add is what product is used.

Well I think the program smackbook is just the one that enables the smacking. I think parallels is the one that actually runs the OSes. I just want more info on that.

Parallels creates a virtual computer environment so you can install Windows or Linux on it and run it on top of the currently running operating system.

You want more information on it, but you don't specify what. Most of the general information and possibly more could be found at the Parallels website. Virtual pc, virtual machine and multiple operating system solutions by Parallels, Inc.

I've documented my experiences with installing Parallels on a MacBook Pro at ~MBP Leopard Install with Parallels 3 « John Kendrick’s Weblog and some comparisons of emulators at ~Which is the better Windows emulator? Well that depends . . . « John Kendrick’s Weblog that you may find helpful in your preparations. Good luck, John
