I take data between home and work using my iPod. Now that I have a Mac with Parallels, I want to access that drive from within Parallels. I suspect having two OS's simultaneously trying to access it caused it to need reseting yesterday.

What is the best way to have this drive available from within my VM without giving up using it with my Mac's iTunes and sometimes Finder?

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a virtual drives setting in Parallels like there is in Virtual PC, Virtual Box and VMware.

The drive can only be visible in one OS or the other unless you use shared folders.

Shared Folders is a very good idea.
