I have acquired a Rev A Bondi iMac for FREE I upgraded the hard drive from 4gb to 8gb, and I found a 128mb RAM stick to upgrade with, so now it has 160mb RAM total.
I want to run Linux on it, but I don't know which version would be best. Ubuntu requires 256mb RAM and I am not spending a penny on this thing lol.
Any very light weight versions of Linux out there I can use?
This thing will be used for music and web surfing only for in the garage.

I've heard good things about Mepis with older machines. I haven't tried it myself, but it looks like it could do the trick. I've used Suse on older machines before. But I am not too sure how it would run on your iMac.

I've used a Rev B iMac as a Linux server running Gentoo before. Worked pretty well, and never gave me a problem. I'm not personally a huge fan of Ubuntu, but besson's suggestion of Xubuntu is probably a pretty decent one.
You could also check out FreeBSD. The PPC version should run fine on that hardware, and I, personally, like it a little more than Linux.

Personally I haven't used Unix for more than 2hrs, but now thinking about I would go with nonhuman's post. Ubuntu as a Linux Distro is good, I think. But Unix seems like it would be more compatible for your iMac. Just my thought.. Good luck!
