I've tried several times installing windows on my Mac; after one failed attempt after partitioning my disk (I don't know what happene I went for a drink and returned to see my computer off), I used "disk repair" to check the volumes and repair the disk; which now seems ok; there is no partition detected on my computer (111. gb, I have a 120 gb model but they always have less so I think it's ok).

Now when I try to partitions the disk, it tells me "The disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved", and to format my HD as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume", which it already is.

What could be causing this problem?

Thanks!

Have you tried booting to your installation disks and trying Disk Utility?

Yes I have, my disk did have issues, so I repaired the disk via the Leopard Disk, and it says it's fine.

Anything else I can do from there?

Guys, I decided I need to erase my drive, but I want a bootable backup I can use to restore it as it is now.

What program do you recommend the most? I´ve Leopard, and time-machine, but I´ve heard it doesn´t work nearly as well as I thought, and that it´s useless for bootable backups.

I know next to nothing about backuping and formatting, can you please recommend a program and a process? thanks!
