Hello,

I am using bootcamp to set-up XP for my macbook pro. Thanks to this forum I have been able to get to the point of booting from the DVD that has XP Pro SP2 on it. Here is the rub. When it comes up since I am using a MSDN DVD with several builds on it it asks me to select which OS I want to install like press key [A] For XP Pro [B} For XP pro SP 2 [C] for XP home etc. In any case my keyboard is not recognized at this point so I can't hit a key to tell it which OS to load.

Please help.

Welcome to the forums!
Boot Camp's interface to the Windows installer isn't all-encompassing, and it could be a major pain for you to get the MSDN disc to work the way you want and expect. However, the installer should (that's a big should) recognize a USB keyboard you plug in BEFORE the start of the install process, and that should let you do the selecting.

The easiest thing for the Mac hardware install is to use a CD with a single Windows build on it.

I had the same problem on my iMac. When I tried it with a Dell USB keyboard it worked fine. Try a more Windows friendly USB keyboard.

I should add that once Boot camp setups Windows, you can switch back to a Mac keyboard just fine.
