The sound keys, F3, F4 and F5 have stopped working on XP drive.
I tried rebooting and checked the sound panel, but still does work. There is sound and I can vary using the manual controls and on VLC for video. But the keys in XP just do not seem to want to respond. They worked fine yesterday, no new software installed since then.
Any ideas on how I might be able to resolve?
Thanks for assistance. :-)

Thank you for the reply.
I saw that posting when I first looked on the board, but the function keys will still not respond under XP after doing the Leopard repair.
There isn't a problem with the function keys under Leopard, sound and eject work fine, the problem is under XP. I can not even take the Leopard CD out of the drive under XP OS. I have installed the boot for XP files as well.
Both the Leopard and the XP boots failed the first time, got stuck on the wireless connection, but seemed to be fine the second install attempt.
But still no function key access.
Any further suggestions?

First, can you use Windows' file browser (it's called "Explorer" just to make things confusing) to eject the disc? You may have to right-click on the disk in the left pane to get the "Eject" option. I'd be very concerned if Windows would not eject the disc that way-it would indicate a major problem with the installation.
Since the keys' functions went away, has anything else stopped working, or is anything else working differently?

As far as I can tell, everything else is working fine. It is only the function keys under windows that are affected.
We have an issue with the house internet, but that is affecting all the computers, hence the late replying to your reply.
Thanks.

Sorry, I neglected to answer your question.
Yes I can eject the CD using Explorer and CDs will run under XP.

It still sounds like a driver issue-a Windows driver issue. One "lovely" fact about Windows is that it doesn't necessarily tell you if a driver is not successfully installed when you try to install it. I'd put the Leopard disc in again (while running Windows, of course) and run the auto-run driver install routine again. That should at least fix some of this issue.

I have run the boot camp several times and rebooted, no change, the function keys are still non-responsive under XP.
Is there a way to turn the function keys off and on? Perhaps I hit the disable key sequence by mistake...
Thank you.
