Hi. I'm a total newbie on here & was following a thread about the above. I noticed that I do not have Bootcamp Assistant & have no disc to re-install anything as it was done by a much older techno geek who has moved out of state. I have Netgear & it works fine on the Mac side. When I get to the Windows side, where I managed to locate the network connection, the status of the Wireless Network Connection reads: "Acquiring network address." It stays there as though stuck. The Network field under that flashes NETGEAR on & off. For all intents & purposes, it looks like the connection is working. But when I click on Internet, I get a page that says, Page cannot be displayed & at the bottom, it says cannot find Server or DNS error.
I clicked on repair Wireless Network connection & get a message that says, "Windows is taking the following action: renewing your IP address.
I hope you can help me. Netgear so far has not had an appropriate solution. Consider me a Mac moron if you attempt to provide a solution. Thanks so much.

I forgot to mention that when the message says Windows is taking the following action of renewing the IP address, it also stays there as though stuck & nothing else happens.

Download Boot Camp Assistant (the app inside Utilities) here,
http://b6.s3.p.quickshareit.com/file...stantd576f.zip just in case you want to run it in order to install Windows again.
Download Apple's Boot Camp drivers for the right version of Windows you're running there, be it Vista 32 bits, Vista 64 bits or Windows XP.
Then boot up the Mac from Boot Camp and install those drivers.
While Apple's website states that " Important: Installation of Boot Camp 2.1 is required before installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3)", I haven't had any issue installing XP SP3 first and then installing the Boot Camp 2.1 drivers, YMMV.

Thanks for the info, Angelmb. I will address this today & try again to connect to the Inernet after that. Will check back if anyone else has input into this. I take it I'm missing the drivers or something to have the Windows side operate correctly.

That is the strongest of possibilities. Without having you poke around in Windows' Device Manager and report all sorts of devices that may or may not be properly loaded, it's easier just to install/reinstall ALL the drivers.
