Hmmm... I can't help you at the moment, but I think someone will chime in soon with something wonderful that will help you out immensely.

What do you say, regulars? Do you recognize this issue?

I'm curious why anyone would help someone who downloaded SL. What happened to your original install DVD?

And I'm curious why anyone would help a spammer. But then again, if that helper were a spammer too...

Apple will gladly swap it for you if you have a proof of purchase.

And the generic answer is that there is no method (that I know of) to use .dmg files from Windows. It is Apple's format, and since they don't give out the spec I doubt that anyone has put in the effort to reverse-engineer it (and there are probably some legal issues blocking a companies from this).

Awww. I was pretty sure someone new would have popped up and provided an answer that featured some novel software...

I hadn't read the original post well enough to pick up the fact that the .DMG was actually Snow Leopard; I'd have suggested contacting Apple for a replacement disc immediately.

the wiki article for apple disk image mentions a few Windows programs that may convert and/or burn.

I believe if you change the .dmg extension to .iso, then windows can burn it to disc. If not, then check below

Ask Apple for a replacement with your proof of purchase, don't pirate, spell correctly, and use punctuation.
