I have Windows 7 running under Bootcamp 3.1. The problem is that it's activated under VMware, but not if I boot directly into Windows. Is there any way I can deactivate the virtual machine and re-activate Windows with the same product key?

Nevermind: Had to get a new code from Microsoft over the phone. Works now.

What version of VMWare are you using? They supposedly fixed that problem.
"You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction
with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it. From out there on the
moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the
neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, 'Look at that, you son of a bitch.'"

It's not a problem if you install & activate in boot camp. It sounds like you installed in bc but tried to activate in fusion. Not sure how well that works.
