Hi folks,

One question which no one has been able to give me an answer to is this:
Is it actually possible to create more that 1 bootable Windows partiton on a multiboot single drive for a MBP ? (I Know that Bootcamp assistant only allows one.) I'm hoping to clone my old Bootcamp XP and add Windows 7...

Cheers.

This is a very good question. I know that it should be possible, but I don't know what tool to use to make it happen. The issue is twofold: you have to update the drive's partition map to include your added bootable partitions, and you also have to update the boot manager to tell it where to find this bootable partition so you can select it to boot from...

Triple Boot via BootCamp - OnMac.net Wiki

It requires a separate bootloader (rEFIt), so It's a bit risky in my opinion. Do you really neet to boot to both Windows partitions? Perhaps you can virtualize.

Yes, I definately need the full power; no virtualisation, plus I need to have separate partitions for two programes which can interfere with each other when on the same drive. I would only need to boot one program at a time. Plus I need Windows 7 for the latest upgrade of one application...
What is the risk when using rEFIt ?
