Hi,
I'm pretty new to the Mac transition and may sound ridiculous to most of you.

So far, I was getting pretty good hang on Mac OS X SL but had to install windows XP, due to work.

Installation went pretty well and for the first couple of days had no issues.
but now as I boot up winXP, after getting the desktop screen, the whole screen goes black ; tried different things, but nothing seems working. Have to kill the system cold, and could hear the windows shutdown theme.

I wud appreciate any help, and please explain any solution in layman terms..
Thank you in advance for your help.
Cirrus.

Have you tried to reinstall XP?

Is your Mac working fine under OSX?

Is this a laptop or a desktop? Have you tried hooking it up to an external monitor, if possible? Could be a video driver issue if the machine works fine under OS X.

Have you tried pressing the brightness keys to turn the brightness up, in case for some reason the Boot Camp drives are switching it off?

Have you recently installed LogMeIn or similar software?

The culprit was brightness key! On windows login it was automatically reseting to minimum brightness. Thank you [B]seanc[B] for your input :-)

I did not reinstall XP: OSX was working fine.
It is an aluminum unibody Macbook

Thank you everyone Cheers!!!
