I have a small form factor Windows machine that uses very little power and I'm thinking of moving my iTunes database to that. It's currently on an i7 iMac.

Are there any issues doing that?
- File names (on NTFS)?
- iTunes and AirTunes access from Macs?

etc.

iTunes should work (or not) the same way it works (or not) now for sharing/etc.

File names may be an issue, impossible to say without a list of all the filenames in your library.

My iTunes library is on my MacPro and I needed to travel for an extended time so I copied my iTunes folder to my wife's Windows 7 laptop and copied her iTunes library to my MacPro (same default folder locations). Worked like a champ.

OK great. However, I wonder how well that would work...

I would prefer to move it over to the Win 7 machine, but I just remembered: I do all my schedule and contact stuff in iCal and Address Book, so I'd still need to sync with my Mac too. Syncing on two machines would be a pain. Arrrggh.
