Like several of us Mac users, I have to occasionally use Windows and have been doing that successfully through Boot Camp until a few days ago when I tried to Boot(camp) up XP and all I get is a black screen with a flashing underscore cursor at top right and the Caps Lock key on my iMac keyboard lights up and doesn't go off when hit. Does anyone have any bright ideas please?

I don't have an answer. I Googled your symptoms and there are hundreds of links to people with the exact same problem, and none of them have a solution outside of reinstalling Windows XP.

A few people said it could be a virus hiding in the Master Boot Record.
