Some of you will remember that I was having a good amount of difficulty getting a proper clone of my Windows 7 boot drive. I tried Paragon Backup, Norton Ghost, Acronis True Image and xxClone. All of them failed to meet my needs in various ways. I was starting to despair ever getting a proper clone of my drive and really longing for the superiority of OS X.
Thankfully, I came across one recommendation that worked out perfectly. I found a review recommending
EASEUS To Do Backup, a free backup utility made by a Chinese software company. Unlike other free backup utilities, this one installs and runs in Windows without resorting to a different boot disc. It has a very nice interface, and it's pretty quick at copying too. Most importantly, after failing with those previous tries, this clone works magnificently. Microsoft should buy this software and bundle it with Windows - I think it really fills in a big gap in Windows maintenance functionality.
