I have a new Mac air with only 64GB hard drive and I would like to install just Windows 7 on this

Is that possible and if so how can I do this

I have tried a few times and each time I was required to install MacOSX and then create a partition in OSX - I tried t9o force a repartition in Windows 7 which did not work

Should it really be this hard

You have to use the Boot Camp assistant to set up the Windows partition. Then, if you really want to after installing Win 7, you could empty the OS X partition. But why spend the money on an Air if you're just going to run Windows on it?
