Reinstalling a windows partition

I am dual booting mac os and windows xp on a mac mini. The mac partition is fine. The Windows partition however is beyond repair. Is there anyway I can remove the windows partition and reinstate it without removing the mac os partition or do I need to wipe the entire computer and start afresh?

Use boot camp assistant to restore the mac to a single partition. It won't hurt the os x partition.
