Which of these Linux distros will install on just one partition?

Yellow Dog
SuSE
LinuxPPC - needs 4 I know
Mandrake

I don't want to bury my whole HD, I'm just looking to ditch OS 9 when Macromedia supply us with a few X apps. Why haven't we got something like Partition Magic?

Chris, all of them require at least two partitions, three preferably.

One HAS to be the HFS partition type, cause that's what the openfirmware looks at for the boot program. One should be linux native and the other should be linux swap.

you /could/ do it ALL on the single HFS partition, but I'm not sure how well linux will run in that, since things like really long filenames, and symbolic links don't exist.

Most Unix-based systems require at least two partitions (root and swap), I think OS X is the special one that can only work on one partition.
