I have a Earthlink account and I'm having trouble connecting. If anyone could tell me how to connect to Earthlink using Linux I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Heya,
Check out this Firewall Howto. If you need any help don't hesitate posting, but your question is too broad. Try to get something like this, "I've got redhat 7.1 on my machine, i tried linuxconf but nothing works. Please help!"

"And after we are through, ten years in making it to be the most of glorious debuts."

Sorry, you're right I'll try to narrow it down. I have Yellow Dog Linux on my iBook SE. I set up Dialup Configuration to use my Earthlink account and when I use it to dial out a box appears and it says its initializing modem, it dials the acces number, it sends my user name and password, and then it says this:

Entering ppp session

IP adress is 65.**.***.***

MTU is 1524

Starting pppd at (whatever the time&date is)
(few seconds later...)

PPP daemon has died! (exit code = 10)

Disconnecting at (whatever the time&date is)

And then it re-initializes the modem and starts over with the same results. Anyone know what's wrong?

Thanks.
