the site "linux for die hard mac uses" http://homepage.mac.com/macgurutempl..._for_mac1.html
says
"MkLinux is the only Linux which can be installed on NuBus based Power Macs."

they also mention linux from scratch. I have a powermac 6100/66 av. can LFS run on it? what would I need to do to make it possible if not?

thanks

Hi.

I managed to get MKlinux installed on an 8100/100 a while back. DO NOT mess with downloading an entire distro. I had HORRIBLE problems with that. When I went to an FTP install (after finding the right places) everything went smoothly, it installed in a relatively short time, and ran like a top (autodetection of just about everything).

You probably will want to stay away from a GUI on it, as X-windows runs pretty slowly on a machine that old.

Try starting here:

Cheers
Scott
