Hi.
I managed to get MKlinux installed on an 8100/100 a while back. DO NOT mess with downloading an entire distro. I had HORRIBLE problems with that. When I went to an FTP install (after finding the right places) everything went smoothly, it installed in a relatively short time, and ran like a top (autodetection of just about everything).
You probably will want to stay away from a GUI on it, as X-windows runs pretty slowly on a machine that old.
