well i tried out linuxppc, and yellow dog
yellow dog by far was the best, and the iso's are free to download if you have a burner
same with linuxppc too, if you wanted to try it out
I installed Mandrake 8.0 the other night, and it works great on my iBook (Dual USB). You can download and burn the ISOs (I used toast 4) for free, or pay $20 for the two CDs.
Yellow Dog Linux supports L2 G3 Upgrades WITH CACHE ENABLED, and is reknowned for it's ease of use and simple GUI + a installer that was written from the ground up for ease of use. No LinuxPPC garbage install program.
