I can get Linux PPC 2000 Q4 working on my iBook SE 466 (using the vmlinux-2.2.18-4hpmac kernal) fine, except one thing... The screen is about 16 colors. I tryed all sorts of stuff like cmode, but it's still screwed up. I also have to boot in Ultra-Safe video mode (atyfb, ofonly). Does anydoby know how to fix this? Thanks soooo much!

as far as I know the LinuxPPC is not really compatible with the iBook (at least their website says so, look under supported hardware). Might have to do with the implementation of the video driver ???

I have had good experiences with Mandrake 8 and YellowDog 2.0 distros on my iBook 366. YellowDog works perfectly. Mandrake has the better setup utility (although it does set the screen to 1024x768 initially).
