mandrake 8 PPC doesnt see cd or hd.

I am trying to get linux mandrake 8 running on my 7600 (has G3 upgrade). After Running Boot X it asks me for the install method,
But the system doesnt see the CD, I also copied the linux install cd to my hard drive , figuring a hard drive install whould work but it doesnt see the Hard drive either !!!!! A list of every driver than comes up . any suggestions ?

the copy of Mandrak 8 PPC I tried installing was bootable off the CD. as for the list of drivers, check the readme file that is on the Mandrake CD, and it'll tell you what to use for your system.
