I read an old thread on this message board that talked about using xpmac to enable higher resolutions and color depths for an ATI RAGE 128 card. I have just such a card in a PowerMac 950 that I'm thinking about installing LinuxPPC on.

I poked around on linuxppc.org but could not find this piece of software.

Does it come with the LinuxPPC 2000Q4 distribution, or is it a separate download? If it's a sep. d/l, where the heck is it?

Thanks,

Steve

I found the rpm at a ftp mirror site for SuSE.

ftp://ftp1.sourceforge.net/pub/suse/suse/ppc/7.0/suse/xsrv2/

Remember it is OLD and SLOW, slower than many current X servers.

But it may be a solution for you.
