Don't mount the image with DiscCopy. Drop the iso over toast as a Disc Image. It should recognize it as a MacOS/Hybrid disc. Good luck!

What is its extension? If it is .iso then Toast should recognize it. I burned mine using Disk Copy in OS X with no problems.

Here is what I've found on the Mandrake-Linux Web site...
1. Download the image as a binary
2. Open Toast app.
3. Select "Disk Image" as the type of CD to burn.
4. Click on "Select" button.
5. Find the ISO image using the finder window that appears and "Open" it.
6. Click "Write CD". That's it.
I had the same exact problem you had, going the same way you tried. Using the above "receipt", it was a no-brainer and worked flawlessly, for me. I used Toast 5.1.1 Titanium on Mac OS X to burn the CD.
But as always, YMMV...

ya, toast on x doesn't seem as swift as toast on 9 was - it would detect the format you were throwing at it, not try to make it conform the the last choice.
select disk image and yo should be ifne (.iso, right?)
i installed on the 7600 last night - f'loads snappier than mac os x was on it...

I downloaded the 2.1 "Fuji" ISO image a few days ago, and it does have a .iso ending. fuji-2.1-20011105-install.iso is the name of the image I downloaded.
The trick is not just dropping it on Toast, you have to go to the "Other" section and click the menu and choose Disc Image... Or else is does try to burn it as a file.
