Can anyone give me a clue how to set the module options in
'configure networking device'

the selection of cards i am not familiar with, and my system profiler doesn't tell me what my card is.

Even if I guess at it - I don't know what Modules Options requires int eh way of parameters -- what my IO port etc. -- The manual is not very helpful and assumes one knows this.

I had a problem with the network configuration freezing in Yast 2 and hence the problem............

'it's ok I figured it out.............Linux has wonderful system information that tells you the model & number of your Ethernet Card -- turns out it was a DEC 21142 if I remember correctly. and fortunately, that was the one card the manual had some info on, so i was saved. Fixed the deal in YAST1.
