I accidentally ran /sbin/macos as root. What are the chances that I'd be root when I decided to run that. I was looking to run something in /sbin, and I saw that, and got curious... oops.

It shut down my computer and reset the boot-device in Open Firmware. Now when I boot I don't even have any video.. just a blank monitor... The status light on the monitor turns green for a second, then it turns amber... and nothing happens.

If I had video, I'd use Open Firmware and setenv the boot-device variable... but I can't even see the screen.

Also, I tried to zap the PRAM, but I don't even get a chime when I boot... so... eep!

I fixed it...

All I had to do was try a little harder to zap the PRAM... I didn't have any sound cuz there are no speakers.

Since the machine is Old World, there was no Open Firmware boot screen (hold option upon startup)... heheh.

Never run that damn /sbin/macos on Yellowdog!
