I just downloaded an image file of FreeBSD and I'm trying to burn it to CD. I have Toast 4.2. I selected ISO-9660 format and added the image file to the disk, but it seems like it is only only going to burn the disk with out expanding the image... Anyone know how to do this on a Mac? I am going to use this disc on a PC and it is supposed to be an El Torito (er whatever) bootable disc... Thanks

My advice: Spend the 10 bucks and BUY the CD's! It supports the basic
development..j*zus.

dont burn the image to a 9660 volume cos that only burns the image file as a file in a format that is readable by a pc

instead burn it as a "disk image" and just drag and drop the iso file onto toast

works beautifully .... what you get is at the end is a bootable cd with linux install on it
i do this for my pc versions of linux which i dl from the mandrake mirror onto the mac then burn on the mac then just pop them in the cd reader of the pc and hey presto..... should be the same for a mac vers of linux .... i guess

hope this helps
