I'm a little new linux, and totally new to Linux on Mac. I'm much better with classic Mac OS. I just installed YDL 2.0 on my G4 quicksilver 867, and installed just fine with no errors. The only problem is that the colors, for the graphically environment, are all messed up, since there isn't an nvidia driver in YDL 2.0. But in the text-only console everything is fine. So i need some help getting and installing and activating a driver. Thanx.

I got it to work by changing driver to "nv" in the XF86Config-4. when you install it mark all the display setting that you think you will use. Then when you start it and you get the error use pico tho change this file: /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 Above the screes section you have driver, change it to "nv".

Interesting...

YDL says the GF3 is unsupported, yet you guys get it up and running? Do you have full inplementation of the card? I just got a GF3 to replace my GF2MX before I picked up YDL 2.2. I may have to hold off on installing the GF3 until I can play around with YDL.

I dont know about full inplementation, but it works..

I cant get the 2.4 kernel to install so I dont use it anymore. I also tried to install Mandrake 8.2 but no luck.. My monitor goes black at startup and never returns.. =(
