iBook meets Linux??? Your opinion?

Hello all,
I'd really like to install Linux on my new iBook. Seems that the two leading distributions are Debian and Yellow Dog.

Does anyone have suggestions about which to choose or problems associated with either? I'm a little wary as I've heard that Airport and sound support can be a problem when working in Linux.
