To take a screenshot, hold the home button and then press the power button. The screenshot will be saved in the Photos application. Send it to your computer (either mail it to yourself or open iPhoto when your device is plugged in) and then upload it to an imaging service like imageshack or photobucket.

I decided to finally change my home screen to use the apps that I use most, as opposed to the default screen. What does yours look like?

"Utility" is a stacks application that opens up a popup of 16 more application icons. Jailbroken and unlocked phone.

I assume Utility also lets you have 20 apps, instead of 16 on your home screen ?

So far I haven't done a lot of organizing. I did go kind of wild in adding free apps at the beginning, but I'm getting through trying them out and finding out what works for me and what....well, what I shouldn't have bothered with.

I like being able to organize different pages with different apps-that's almost as helpful as folders.

Basically all of the third row is only there because I've gotten so used to the default home screen's balance and I can't move them without being visually grossed out.

EDIT: Actually, looking at it, the only apps that are truly "home screen apps" are Facebook, Tweetie, NetNewsWire, Mail, SimpleTask, and Music.

I got tired of not having a "home page" for Safari, so I typed "about:blank" in the address bar and then saved it as a link on my iPhone Home page. Since then, I've been rethinking this...but it works well for me since it doesn't just bring up the last page I was looking at.

No actually, the icon labelled "Utility" is actually an app installed from a french repository called SOS iPhone, the app is a stack-like popup that gives 4x4 (it does its own drawing and placement rather than use the iphone springboard. You drag apps into and drop them out with a puff cloud similar to the dock in OSX. They are merely 'links' to the apps which you can either leave in place on your springboard or choose to 'hide' them and have the links be the way to launch the app.

JB is indeed something you may not wish to do, especially if you have a contract. I purchased my phone used and am not in a voice/data contract.

Still using something quite close to the default arrangement. I’m just so used to it.

The theme is called “Matte nano” and goes well with the complete system reskin called “Matte UI“.

I see that you have the GPRS circle on your iPhone. I am aware that type of connection is really slow, but how slow is it really? I'm guessing it doesn't drain the battery so fast?

For web browsing it's very slow, but for apps like Tweetie, Weather and Mail it's fine. As in, it might take 30 seconds to load the Apple home page fully. Like you said though, it doesn't drain the battery nearly as much as 3G.
