Any opinions?

For me, the first page was full of apps that I had been interested enough to look at during my pre-genius App Store searches, but nothing I really wanted to buy.

It seems to recommend apps which have five star ratings, which is nice. It's not quite the same as allowing a search sorted by star rating, but it's certainly closer than anything we've had previously.

The joys of using different iTunes accounts means the iPhone recommends applications that I already have I wish they did it by what's installed on the phone.

I haven't yet found anything interesting suggested by the App Store Genius, but I still have hope.

Then again, I don't need to be spending a bunch more money on random apps.

The Genius feature is not very smart. It will, for instance, recommend apps based on their category alone. I've had Genius suggest news apps in other languages after downloading one in English. If I've never downloaded a Spanish or Korean app of any kind, why would I do so after downloading The New York Times?
