I am setting up and iPad2 for my mother-in-law and she has about 100 recipes(individual word docs) split between 5 folders stored on her iMac. She wants access to them on her iPad. The one caveat is that she needs access to them offline. The kitchen in the house does not current have Wifi. What is they best way for her to access them? Ideally, they recipes would stay in their folders, but if that is not possible I understand.

Thanks for your help,
David

I'm not sure, but I think GoodReader. It will open .doc files and you can copy the files over via itunes. However I'm not sure about the folders...

Anyone?

You could use the GoodReader app and transfer the files by USB.

Once you copy all those doc files to the iPad, you can create folders inside GoodReader to manage the recipes at her will.

Yes, GoodReader is a good choice.

Alternatively, you could convert all the recipes to PDF, and use iBooks to read them.
You can set up folders in iBooks as well.

iBooks is going to be a bit more user-friendly in terms of GUI.
