Press a button and get a burger 10 minutes later.
You're not listening. I just said press a button and get a burger 10 minutes later.
You pay with the app so it really is "in & out", unless you get their fries, which I don't because they suck.

I never understood the need for ANY app to order semi-fast foods (Chipotle, Five Guys, Subways...).
Your (to *your*, subego's) life is so busy that you can't wait a few minutes to get something freshly made ? Seriously ?

There's also something particularly obnoxious about the lines at the 5G. People never figure out what they want while they're waiting. God forbid they need the system explained to them. Jesus Christ. It's a burger. You put shit on it. How hard is that?
Also, my order is apparently heretical enough there's no formulation which doesn't get me question after question.
"I'll take a plain hamburger. Nothing on it. That's it. No fries.
"Plain?"
"Yup."
"Nothing on it?"
"Yup."
"TWO PATTIES! Would you like fries?"
"Nope, just the burger."
"Something to drink?"

Ordering lunch for pick up on a busy day makes sense to me. Ordering a bunch of food for a group meal (working lunch, birthday party at work, etc.) makes sense to me. "Needing" an app to do this... Not so much. It is marketing, an ad on your phone all the time, and that's more the point behind all of these.
Five Guys' fries are good for the 45 seconds between cooling down from volcano hot and getting "too cool", all because of their pretty heavy oil content. I find it a good way to limit my fry intake there-I wind up with what works out to a decent sample of very hot, tasty fries, and a few tiny burns on my fingertips from checking for when they transition from fatally hot to edible.

If pressed, which I often am since you'd need to be an elephant to eat that many fries, I'll just dump a gallon of vinegar on them.

They do have good vinegar, which helps quench the volcanic heat of fresh fries...

Well, I wouldn't exactly call it good, but it's present, which is more than I can say for most places.

I guess I'm in the minority but I think Five Guy's fries are awful. Always overcooked and greasy. Burgers are okay (but greasy as well).

Not only that, their cheese isn't good either. Which is just bizarre. How do you **** that up?
