Using the Photos app, is there a way to re-start a slideshow after you've paused it? That is, can you get it to re-start at the point you paused? For the life of me, I can't find a way to do this (to me) obvious function. Once I've paused a slideshow, the only way to keep going (that I've found) is to navigate back to the selected Album and start a new Slideshow.

Am I missing a hidden control somewhere, or did the idea of pausing and re-starting not occur to anyone?

Hmm. As soon as I touch the screen it stops the slideshow. I looks like it puts you back in the album. When I tap the "share" square with an arrow on bottomleft, I can again choose slideshow and it seems to start from where I left off.

Then again I havent updated to ios7.whatever yet.

Yeah, that's about the most direct way to re-start a slideshow I've found, though it's not exactly "restarting" so much as it's starting a new show on a selected photo.

There really needs to be a simple start/stop control for Slideshows.

agreed. tapping should mean "pause" and there should be a "play" button and exit button.

let's telepathically send this message to apple. <woooom>
