Netflix has released an update
to its iOS client, bringing the app up to version 3.0. Among changes to the app, Netflix has restored the zoom icon to the user interface, allowing the user to control full screen mode easier, better placement of the play and pause buttons, and title display on the iPad display at a touch. The Netflix app is free, but requires an $8 a month subscription fee to use the service.
iSkin rolls out Revo 360 and Fuze 360 cases for iPhone 5
Adding to the bevy of cases available for the iPhone 5, case manufacturer iSkin
has introduced the Revo 360
and Fuze 360
for the device. The Revo 360 is a silicone skin, designed to repel moisture and dirt, enhanced by the addition of MicroBan antimicrobial product protection. The Fuse 360 boasts a soft inner layer with an impact-resistant outer hard shell. A grip assist is provided by an anti-slip rubber coated finish. The Revo 360 is available now for $40 with the Fuse 360 available for $50.
Robert Scoble abandoning iOS for Android
Social media star and Apple fan Robert Scoble claims that he has had enough of the Apple iPhone and is switching to an Android device. On his Google+ page
, Scoble wrote that he was "getting ready to leave the Apple platform and switch to Android" and is "no longer an Apple fanboy." Scoble believes that Apple has "slipped" but believes that "most apps are smoother and have fewer problems on iOS" but is leaving the ecosystem regardless, citing Google's Project Glass' easier integration with other Android devices.
